When media consolidates, we don’t just lose competition — we lose viewpoints. Cultural diversity shrinks quietly. Check my latest article to understand why this merger raises real concerns.

I think my point is getting lost. I have no issue with Netflix or its diverse content, but the consolidation of industry. My most recent article breaks it down better : https://dontbeaclick.com/2025/12/10/when-everything-rolls-up-from-your-hvac-guy-to-your-netflix-queue/

In a world where entertainment is so fragmented (with YouTube, IG, TT, many others), does diversity really shrink?

In a way, yes but I’m talking about diversity of allowed messaging. Fewer and fewer people are controlling the messaging coming to your screens.

We should not be on board with this much consolidation of thought.

I’ve seen Netflix dramatically increase where they buy and make shows from and around the world. Massive change from pre Netflix world. Surely this is a major boost for “diversity”.
